Mission

To improve the human condition of UT students through the support of existing programs and the creation of new programs and activities that foster and encourage students’ pursuit of academic and cultural excellence.

Realized through five interrelated objectives

  • Promote collaboration among existing university social programs and organizations, particularly those with significant numbers of students underrepresented at UT.

  • Foster and encourage peer and non-peer mentoring programs.

  • Increase student understanding of financial aid, financial responsibility, and money management in the context of the university environment.

  • Assemble data relevant to academic preparedness and achievement among students of color that are accepted, matriculate, and graduate at the UT.
